This dialog box offers the possibility to define a particle monitor or to change the particle monitor's properties. Particle Monitors are usually defined on 2D planes. Additionally, this type of monitor can be defined on non PEC surfaces.

 

Property Pages

The dialog box is split into three property pages:

Position

General Settings

Plot Settings

OK

Accepts the input and closes the dialog box.

Cancel

Closes this dialog box without performing any further action.

Apply

Accepts the input without closing the dialog box.

Help

Shows this help text.

 

Additional Information

Once a monitor is calculated, a 1D result plot Particle Monitor Result View based on the monitor specifications is available. Further results can be generated using the template based post processing. The template Evaluate Particle Monitors is located within the category Particles.

Furthermore, basic monitor information can be obtained from the Particle Monitor Statistics result file, that is also a part of the navigation tree. A typical result entry looks like this:
