Simulation settings are not global settings, but they are capsuled in
so-called simulation tasks. You can define an arbitrary number of tasks
and access existing ones via the navigation
tree. Therefore, you are able to edit existing tasks, delete them
from your design and enable or disable them to perform the calculation
defined there or to keep it for later use, respectively. To add a new
task, choose Home:
Simulation
New
Task. In the Select
Simulation Task dialog box you can select the task to add. According
to your selection, a specific task dialog box appears where you can define
sweep ranges and the results to calculate.
Choosing Home:
Simulation
Update
leads to the sequential execution of all enabled tasks. Alternatively,
you can use the shortcut F5.
Note that the order in which simulation tasks are
performed can be changed via Move Up
and Move Down commands
in the context menu of each individual simulation task.
If a file on which a (measured or simulated) block is based is modified and saved in an external software program, CST DESIGN STUDIO™ recognizes that the file has changed. Before the execution of the tasks is performed, the Update File References dialog box is displayed, which contains a list of the modified files. You can select the files whose changes you want to consider.
