MAXK=(M1 [, ... MN]) STOP=val
The TONES list specifies the estimated frequency or frequencies of the periodic inputs to the circuit for harmonic balance analysis. Each MAXK entry Mi specifies the maximum harmonic number to use for the corresponding tone fi. The harmonic balance analysis will be performed using harmonics 1 through M1 of tone f1 (frequency f1 itself is harmonic 1), harmonics 1 through M2 of tone f2, and so forth up to harmonics 1 through MN of tone fN. The STOP entry specifies the stop time in seconds for the transient analysis. The STOP entry is required to distinguish an envelope analysis statement from an ordinary harmonic balance statement. All transient analyses start at time 0. The optional STEP entry affects the maximum timestep used in the transient analysis. See the Transient Analysis topic for details on the timestep calculation. The optional ENVMETHOD entry selects the integration method to be used in the transient analysis. The choices are TRAP (trapezoidal rule) and BDF2 (Second Order Backward Difference Formula, also called Gear.) The default is TRAP. See the Transient Analysis topic for details on integration methods. The optional MODULATIONBW entry is an estimate of the bandwidth of the nonperiodic RF modulation input signal. Harmonic Balance Controls The Harmonic Balance controls METHOD, AUTO_REFINE_SOLUTION, and TRIM_TOL can be used to refine the HB phase of the analysis.
