Nexxim RF Design Examples

Nexxim is a simulator for high-speed, high-density circuit designs. Within Designer RF, Nexxim provides analyses in the time and frequency domains for all levels of RF projects, from individual component models to large-scale transmitter/receiver systems. This section contains examples to demonstrate the Nexxim analyses.

This section assumes you are already familiar with the Designer basics discussed in the online help section Getting Started with Ansoft Designer. As you work through the sequence of design topics described in this section, you will:

• Load example designs into Designer for analysis with Nexxim.

• Set up and run the following analyses: Nexxim transient, harmonic balance, linear network, oscillator, oscillator phase noise, time-varying noise, periodic transfer function, loadpull, envelope, Time Domain Reflectometry, and Nexxim-System cosimulation.

• Set up parameterized circuits for variable sweep.

• Display simulation results using Designer’s reporting functions.
