Check the Port1 Source

Nexxim allows you to configure any number of ports and sources, and to associate each source to run only for certain analyses. This example has only one source and only one analysis.

1. Right-click on Port 1 (PNUM=1), and select Edit Port from the menu. The Port Definition dialog opens:

2. Port 1 has been set up as a sinusoidal power source. To review the setup, click the Edit Sources button.

3. The Configure ports and sources dialog opens:

4. To view the source definition, click Edit Properties. The Properties window opens:

• Verify that the frequency (property f) is 0.5 GHZ (500MHz). The tone property must also be set to 0.5GHz, to assist the harmonic balance analysis that underlies the loadpull analysis

• Click OK to close the Source Selection dialog and return to the Port Definition dialog.

5. Click OK to close the Properties window and return to the Configure ports and sources dialog.

6. Click on the Select button in the Analysis list column. The Select Analysis dialog opens:

Verify that the source is enabled for the harmonic balance loadpull analysis netlist. Click OK to return to the Configure ports and sources dialog. Click OK to return to the Port Definition dialog. Click OK to close the Port Definition dialog.
