Wizard Step 4 Medium Properties

Wizard Step 4 Medium Properties

After the design wizard calculates the electrical equivalent circuit of the filter, it is now time to realize it in a physical structure. You may use various media such as stripline, microstrip, etc. This medium should already be selected in the Technology list in the Properties page.

Note

This design wizard page is skipped if you have selected Ideal in the Technology list in the Properties page.

Setting Medium Properties

To change the medium properties, type in the desired field. Taking the focus out of the edited field will automatically recalculate the dimensions and update the layout of the filter. By using buttons on the bottom left,

you can view the schematic, which is intact after the specifications and is used as a base for the layout, the netlist, the dimensions, and the coupling coefficients of the filter.

Schematic text display buttons are also provided to change the appearance of the schematic quickly and easily.

You can change the display units and put limitations on the range of outcome by clicking Units, Ranges.

When you are done with Medium Properties page, click Next to go to the Finish page of the design wizard.
