Insert Elements

You can insert elements into the circuit either from menu or using the insert element dialog box.

To insert elements into the schematic:

1. Click items on the Insert submenu on the Filter>Element submenu. The mostly used filter elements are itemized on the Insert menu.

2. If the element is not listed in the menu, click More on the Insert submenu. This brings you the Insert Element dialog box.

3. In the dialog box, select the element from the Element list.

4. View the element properties in the Properties.

5. To change the properties, click Edit. This will bring up the Element Properties dialog box.

6. Click OK.

When the element is selected through a menu item or the insert dialog, the mouse will be captured in the Schematic window. Mouse will show either the element symbol or a down-arrow. When the down-arrow is shown, you can drop the element before the element the mouse is currently over.

To drag/drop elements onto the schematic:

1. Move the mouse over where the element will be inserted.

2. Click the mouse button to drop the element to the desired point.

3. If you want to cancel the drag/drop operation, press Esc or click the mouse button while the cursor is still showing the element symbol.
