Filter Design Tool > Changing Element PropertiesYou can change the values of a selected element using the Element Properties dialog box, or by accessing the Properties dialog box by selecting Edit > Properties.
To edit properties of an element: 1. Select an element in the schematic. You can also select elements by choosing Select Elements or Select All from the Edit menu. 2. Bring up the dialog box by clicking Properties on the Filter>Element submenu. You may also bring it up by double-clicking on an element. 3. In the dialog box, select a parameter row in the grid and type in the value under VALUE column. If you enter values without units, the current unit setting will be assumed for the input. You may also enter values with units and in this case the entered value will be converted into current unit format and displayed upon leaving that value cell. 4. To edit Q factors of the selected element, click Set Q factors. 5. To set the properties into every element which have the same type in the circuit, check Apply to all elements which have the same type. Note that Filter Design Tool handles series and shunt elements as different types, so for example when you check this option while editing a series inductor, applying these properties to the circuit will not affect shunt inductors. 6. To set the properties into a symmetric element, check Apply to symmetric element if there is any. This option is similar to the one above except it only applies to a symmetric element in the circuit. The symmetric element should appear on the other side of the circuit with the same offset index from the termination and it must have the same element type. You can use this option for odd-order filters and when you are performing simple tuning on the circuit. 7. Click OK.
