Windows StartCST STUDIO SUITECST Update Manager

This application allows you to manage software updates. The list shows a summary of all software versions available locally. For each software version a short description text and the release date are shown. The first item in the list always refers to the original software version.

The state of the buttons on the bottom of this dialog box depends on the selection in the list. Please note that some operations also support multiple selections in the list.

Closes this dialog box without performing any further action.

Install

Install the selected software version. This button is only enabled when a single software version is selected from the list.

Delete

Delete the selected software version(s) in order to save disk space. This button is only enabled when one or more software updates are selected from the list. Please note that the original version as well as the currently installed version (marked by green arrow) can not be deleted.

Import

This button allows you to browse for a software update package with the file extension ".sup", e.g. a special update package being provided by technical support. The selected update package will then be shown in the list. Please use the Install button afterwards in order to apply this update.

Export

This option allows to export one or more selected software update packages into a particular directory. This directory can then be used as an installation source for other clients of CST STUDIO SUITE which refer to this folder as installation source (as specified in the Preferences settings). This feature is helpful for managing the updating process in cases when an approval procedure is desired.
