In this dialog box you have the possibility to enter special settings regarding the boundary condition open (add space lf), which is selected in the Boundary Conditions - Boundaries dialog box.
Open add space
The open (add space lf) boundary condition automatically adds some extra space between the structure and the applied open boundary. Here the corresponding Bounding box distance factor to increase or decrease the distance can be specified.
The distance which is added at the boundary, is computed by the bounding box diagonal multiplied by the given factor.
Example: If the bounding box has dimensions of 4 mm x 6 mm x 3 mm and the distance factor is 0.3, the added distance is:
0.3 * sqr( 4mm * 4mm + 6mm * 6 mm + 3 mm * 3mm) = 2.343 mm
