A boundary temperature may be assigned only if the corresponding boundary condition in the "Thermal Boundaries" tab is set to "isothermal".
Xmin, Ymin, Zmin, Xmax, Ymax, Zmax
Defines the boundary temperature at the specific boundary. Three different settings are possible:
Default |
The background temperature will be used as a constant temperature at the boundary. |
Fixed |
A specific temperature value will be assigned to the boundary. During the transient solution this value will be changing according to the reference excitation signal. |
Floating |
Similar to Fixed the boundary will also have a constant temperature. However its initial value is unknown and will be calculated during the simulation, such that the total thermal heat flux is zero. |
Note: In case other isothermal boundaries or PTC solids with fixed or floating temperatures are touching a default boundary these settings will overwrite the "Default" setting.
OK
Accepts the changes and closes the dialog.
Cancel
Closes this dialog box without performing any further action.
