ASCII (.txt): The file format for ASCII field imports and an example is available here.
CST Studio field monitors (.m3d): This is the file format written by hexahedral-based CST STUDIO SUITE solvers.
ASCII Import settings
Note: Since the ASCII field import might not contain enough information to define all field settings, this frame allows to specify further settings for an ASCII file. It is also possible to define the following settings inside the ASCII file - if the ASCII file contains this information, the dialog settings will be ignored.
Field Type:
Sets the field type of the ASCII field import.
Frequency:
Defines the frequency of the imported field in the projects
frequency unit.
Symmetry Planes:
Defines if symmetry conditions should be applied to the
imported field. Defining symmetry conditions enlarges the field box and
mirrors the fields with respect to the type of the symmetry.
Open
Confirms the settings and closes the dialog box.
Cancel
Closes this dialog box without performing any further action.
