Accuracy

In this drop down list you can specify the desired solver accuracy.

Calculate capacitance matrix

Via this checkbox you can specify, whether the capacitance matrix is to be calculated. Each fixed potential defined in the calculation domain will increase the dimension N of the capacitance matrix. The calculation of the capacitance matrix requires N solver runs.

Please note that charges have no influence on the capacitance matrix.

Please note that symmetries can have an influence on the capacitance values. In particular, if a symmetry plane is defined, then each shape which is not cut by this plane is considered a union of itself with its counterpart on the other side of the symmetry plane. This means that potential sources on such shapes cannot be excited separately. If you combine symmetries with a capacitance calculation, please check your results carefully.

Store result data in cache

Here you can indicate whether all models and results obtained during a mesh adaptation, parameter sweep or optimization are to be stored in subfolders or not.

Check to activate the adaptive mesh refinement. 

Properties…

Opens the adaptive mesh refinement properties dialog.

Start

Starts the electrostatic solver with the current settings.

Optimize…

Opens the Optimization dialog.

Par. Sweep…

Opens the Parameter Sweep dialog.

Acceleration...

Opens the acceleration dialog box to control the high performance options of the simulation run (e.g. CPU multithreading or Distributed Computing).  

Specials…

Opens the electrostatic solver specials dialog.

Simplify Model...

Opens the dialog to globally reduce the complexity of the model.

Apply

Stores the current settings without closing the dialog box.

Close

Closes this dialog box without performing any further action.

Shows this help text.
