Show Face Constraints
Tools Modify Locally Show Face Constraints
This dialog lists face constraints that have been defined by
Tools Modify Locally Define Face
Constraints( ). If no shape was selected, all constraints
of all faces are listed. If shapes are selected, only constraints of those
shapes faces are shown.
Note: If you defined constraints
on faces that have been lost, these constraints won't
be listed, they do not influence the sensitivity analysis. Loosing faces
can happen by modelling, by the constraint itself (e.g. offsetting the
cap of a truncated cone or offsetting a chamfered edge) or by continuing
to modify the shape (e.g. transformations or normal
local modifications).
The constraints are shown in a list with the following columns:
Name:
This identifies the face on which the attribute is attached to. It is
the Solid Name
of the shape, followed by a colon and the ID of the face.
Parameter:
This is the expression that defines the distance or radius of the constraint.
The constraint can only be used for sensitivity analysis, if this expression
es a single parameter. (See Sensitivity
Analysis Parameter)
Value:
This is the current value of the expression given in Parameter
Type:
This is the type of the constraint. Currently there are three types: face
radius, face plane distance, face point distance. These types come in
two flavours: in addition to the normal constraints, additional attributes
will be generated for neighboring blended faces (If the option "Consider
blends" was checked during constraint definition).
Description:
This is a short description the constraints content: The local coordinate
system (WCS) that was valid for the constraint is given, as well as the
base point (BP) for the face point distance
or the reference point (RP) and the direction (Dir) for the face
plane distance. For the WCS three vectors are given: the origin,
the x axis and the z axis.
Selecting the attributes by clicking on the rows will show them in the
main view.
Delete
You may select some constraints and press the
Delete button
to remove these constraints from their faces. They are not taken into
account for sensitivity analysis anymore.
Select All
Selects all constraints. All constraints will
be visualized in the main view.
Deselect
Clears the selection of attributes.
Close
Closes this dialog.
