Spectral Lines Simulation Task

Home:  New Task Spectral lines Spectral lines

Navigation Tree: Tasks <Task Name> Properties Spectral lines

The spectral line task evaluates the spectral lines of the currents and voltages for all probes inside your design. Within this dialog box you can perform the settings for the harmonic balance simulation that yields these results. A more detailed explanation about the usage of a spectral lines task can be found in the "Using a spectral lines task" help page.

Frequency Limits frame

Lower Limit: Shows the lower frequency limit.

Upper Limit: Shows the upper frequency limit.

Units frame

Global units: Use the global frequency unit (that may be defined within the Units dialog box)  for this task..

Local units: Select this option to specify a local frequency unit.

Frequencies: Select the local frequency unit here.

Harmonic balance settings frame

Fundamental frequencies: Enter the fundamental frequencies f[i] and the number to of harmonics to consider for each fundamental frequency here. The signal sources inside your design operate at frequencies HBFreqCoeffs[i] * f[i]. The number of harmonics defined in the second row will be ignored if you choose the diamond scheme.

Diamond scheme: Check this box if you want to consider frequencies according to the diamond scheme.

Harmonics: The number of harmonics that is considered if the diamond scheme is selected. This number gives the maximum sum of all harmonics of the fundamental frequencies specified above.
