Add new goal &ldots;
By pressing this button a dialog is displayed to define and add a new goal. You can define 0D, 1D and 1DC result goals.
0D Result: Opens a dialog in which predefined 0D Template Based Postprocessing results may be set as optimization goals. If no such results are available it will open the Define 0D Result Template Goal dialog in which the desired results can be defined.
1D Result: Arbitrary result data can be used as goal value by selecting a predefined 1D Template Based Postprocessing result. If no such result was defined then selecting this goal type will automatically open the corresponding Define 1D Result Template Goal dialog in which the desired results can be defined.
1DC Result: Arbitrary result data can be used as goal value by selecting a predefined 1DC Template Based Postprocessing result. If no such result was defined then selecting this goal type will automatically open the corresponding Define 1DC Result Template Goal dialog in which the desired results can be defined.
The following goal is not supported any more:
Result Data: This goal type cannot be defined any more. When you open a project which contains Result Data goals, then they will be listed in the goals page. If the result data goal refers to S-Paramters then it will be converted automatically to a corresponding 1D result goal, otherwise before using them, they have to be defined as new 1D or 0D result goal by the user manually.
Edit &ldots;
Press this button to modify the selected goal. Depending on the type of goal, as explained for the New... button above, a dialog box or a macro view will now be opened that contains all settings or input lines, respectively, that are associated with the goal.
Remove All
Press this button to remove all goals from the list.
Remove
Press this button to remove the selected goals from the list.
Summary type of all goals
Select a summary type of all goals from the drop-down list for the optimization. The optimizer will minimize the sum or the maximum of all goals corresponding to what is selected.
List of defined goals
Check box: Select the goals that are considered during the optimization run.
ID: Displays the id of the goal.
Type: Displays the name of the goal that is usually not editable.
Operator: Select an operator for the respective goal from the list of operators whose contents depend on the type of goal.
Target: Depending on the selected type of goal and the selected operator, a target value must be specified here. Therefore, enter a valid expression if this field is editable.
Range: The evaluation of a goal may by limited to a certain range that is displayed here. Usually, this field cannot be edited. To modify the range press the Edit&ldots; button.
Weight: Assign a weight to a goal here; the weight represents the goal's priority if more than one goal are considered during the optimization process.
