Home: Simulation New Task Optimization  - Goals [Result Data]

Please note that result data goals are not supported any more. When you open a project which contains Result Data goals, then they will be listed in the goals page. If the result data goal refers to S-Paramters then it will be converted automatically to a corresponding 1D result goal, otherwise they have to be defined as new 0D Result Template Goal or 1D Result Template Goal manually.

Within this dialog box, you can specify the settings for a goal. A goal may be associated with any existing data of the current result set.

Type frame

Select the type of data that is evaluated by the optimizer.

Mag. (linear): Selects the magnitude in linear representation.

Mag. (dB): Selects the magnitude in dB representation.

Phase: Selects the phase.

Data frame

Select the data that is evaluated by the optimizer.

Data source: Specify the "owner" of the data to be used for optimization. The owner is either the design, a single block, or a probe.

Type / task: Specify the result type and the result task to which the data originally belongs.

Result: Specify the specific data of the type / task collection.

Conditions frame

Specify a condition for the selected data to fulfill.

Operator: Select an operator within this drop list. The following operators are currently available:

min: A parameter for which the data are minimized inside the specified range (see below) is looked for.

max: A parameter set for which the data are maximized inside the specified range (see below) is looked for.

<: A parameter set for which the data do not exceed or exceed minimally a given upper bound inside the specified range (see below) is looked for.

>: A parameter set for which the data do not exceed or exceed minimally a given lower bound inside the specified range (see below) is looked for.

=: A parameter set for which the data equal or differ minimally from a given value inside the specified range (see below) is looked for.

move min: A parameter set for which the minimum of the data is located at a given abscissa value is looked for inside the specified range (see below).

move max: A parameter set for which the maximum of the data is located at a given abscissa value is looked for inside the specified range (see below).

Target: Enter the target value for the '<', '>' and '=' operators here.

Abscissa: Enter the target abscissa value for the 'move min' and 'move max' operators here.

Weight: Enter the weight for this goal here.

Range frame

Specify a range or a single abscissa value for which the goal is evaluated. The range is limited by the lowest abscissa value and the highest abscissa value of the specified data.

Total: Set the range to the maximum range.

Single: Set a single abscissa value. Please note the limits.

Range: Set a range. Please note  the limits.

Stores the current settings and returns to the Optimizer - Goals property page.
