Frequency Sweeps

Frequency Sweeps

Perform a frequency sweep when you want to generate a solution across a range of frequencies. You may choose from one of the following sweep types:

Discrete	Generates field solutions at specific frequency points in a frequency range.
Interpolating Fast	Estimates a solution for an entire frequency range using an adaptive rational function interpolation method. Using an Interpolating Fast sweep will result in faster analysis, however the current distribution values cannot be saved.

Note

When you repeat a discrete or fast sweep, Designer will automatically reuse frequency points that have been previously analyzed (barring any major change to the design or sweep type). For example, you can analyze a sweep, then extend the range of points, and only the new points will be analyzed.
