Coupled Ports

Coupled Ports

A port on a coplanar waveguide (CPW) must observe the following conditions:

• The port must consist of two disconnected line segments. For example, in the figure below, two CPW ports have been defined on the simple coplanar waveguide.

• The two line segments in a CPW port must lie in the same plane.

• A CPW port must lie on an infinite ground plane.

• It cannot be connected to an N-port.
