Adding a Dynamic Link N-Port from 2DExtractor

To create a dynamic link from 2DExtractor to Designer, you import the 2DExtractor data as an N-port device.

Note

When you add an 2DExtractor subcircuit, Designer starts 2DExtractor. By default, the latest version of 2DExtractor is opened. After 2DExtractor has started, you must close 2DExtractor and Designer separately. Closing 2DExtractor does not close Designer, and closing Designer does not close 2DExtractor.

To add an 2DExtractor N-Port as a subcircuit to a design:

1. Open the design to which you want to add a subcircuit.

2. On the Project menu, point to Add Model, and then select Add 2DExtractor Model. The 2DExtractor Model dialog opens:

3. Use the 2DExtractor Model dialog to select a design and a set of design data. For additional information concerning available tabs and option settings when configuring dynamic links, see Add an HFSS N-Port Model.

4. Click OK to close the 2DExtractor link and the 2DExtractor Model dialog.
