Netlist Format

A tee instance has the following netlist format:

Axxx n1 n2 n3 W1=val W2=val W3=val [NSUM=val]
COMPONENT=tee SUBSTRATE=substrate_name

n1, n2, and n3 are the names of the nodes attached to the tee. The entry COMPONENT=tee identifies the element as a tee. The entry SUBSTRATE=substrate_name identifies the microstrip substrate model name selected for the design (see Selecting a Microstrip Substrate). See the Microstrip (MS) Substrate for information on this substrate type.

where FR4, the selected layout technology or substrate type, has a definition such as:

Notes

1. [All substrates] The collinear lines are connected to nodes n1 and n2 and have widths W1 and W2; the perpendicular line is connected to node n3 and has width W3.

2. [All substrates] The n1, n2 reference plane is centered on the width of the line connected to node n3 (width W3).

3. [All substrates] If W1 > W2: Node n3 is collinear with W1.

4. [All substrates] If W2 > W1: Node n3 is collinear with W2.

5. [Microstrip] Radiation loss is calculated if HU is not specified in the .SUB statement.

6. [Microstrip] To get accurate results, the following condition should be satisfied: H/lg << 1, where lg is the guide wavelength in the substrate dielectric.
