Nexxim Envelope Analysis Options

Envelope analysis options use the .hb prefix. Envelope analysis also uses the harmonic balance analysis options listed in the Harmonic Balance topic, to control both the harmonic balance analysis and the transient analysis.

The default values of these options can be changed in the netlist with one or more .OPTIONS statement. The syntax is:

.OPTIONS hb.option1=value1 [... ]

Name of the device providing the clock fundamental. Nexxim determines the clock period by searching the sources with this name. (Mutually exclusive with period and fund)

Integration method for transient analysis. trap=trapezoidal rule, bdf2=second-order backward difference formula (Gear)

Maximum number of harmonics at each frequency (Phase noise analysis only)

hb=standard HB calculation. shooting=HB method for strongly nonlinear circuits

Estimate of the bandwidth of the nonperiodic RF modulation input signal

Period of clock fundamental (mutually exclusive with fund and clockname)

Harmonics voltage tolerance. Harmonics less than trim_tol after the initial guess are pruned. 0=no pruning.
Mainly for internal use.
