VSWR View

The "Voltage Standing Wave Ratio" (VSWR) is directly related to the reflection parameter. It can be calculated by selecting Post Processing: Signal Post Processing S-Parameter Calculations Calculate VSWR.

The VSWR is the quotient between the maximum and minimum voltage that can be measured along a waveguide. For a lossless waveguide, it is defined as follows:

 

Here "Umin" and "Umax" are measured values along a waveguide and "r" is the reflection coefficient.
