Import Sub-Project
Exchange Import/ExportSub-Project
This dialog box offers the import of an external project.
With this feature you can import 3D data from an other MWS, EMS or
PS project and also 2D data from PCBS and design
studio projects.
The SAT file of the other project will be imported. Also the materials
with its properties. If a solid, curve item, solid wire, thin wire or
a material with the same name already exists in the project, the imported
objects will be renamed.
Alternatively: The Sub-Project
import can be executed by drag and drop of the cst file while holding
the shift-key.
During sub-project import you have the possibility to align
your model in the current project. The positioning algorithm also
transforms your model such that the middle points of the picked faces
are at the same position.
Note: The external project
must have a SAT file for reading the geometrical data. And a MIF file
(Model Information
File) must exist for reading the
material properties. If there is no MIF file, the imported materials properties
will have default values.
Open
A CST File must be selected for this import.
Then the SAT file will be copied to the project folder.
Cancel
Closes this dialog box without performing any
further action.
