Field imports allow to copy field data from external project to the current project. These imports can afterwards be used for different simulations for example temperature distributions can be used for the mechanical solver or displacement fields can be used for the sensitivity analysis in the High Frequency TET solver. Field imports are a part of the model description and therefore will not be deleted if results are deleted.
Name
Specify the unique name for the field import item.
Project
Allows to select the CST-project which contains the field to be imported. Choosing the "Select.." option opens a file selector box, where one can browse for the .cst file.
Use Relative Path
Specify if the project path is stored with an absolute or relative path.
Field Source
For a previously selected CST project all fields which can be imported are listed in this drop-down box. The following field types are available in principle:
Field Type |
Used by |
Displacement |
HF Frequency Domain Solver |
Temperature |
Mechanical Solver, HF Time Domain Solver, Stationary Current Solver |
Force Density |
Mechanical Solver |
Nodal Forces |
Mechanical Solver |
Use Copy Only
This check-box determines if the local field copy should be used for a simulation only, or if the original file data is preferred.
checked |
Use the local copy of the field data only. If the original monitor file is updated later on, these changes will not be taken into account for the particle simulation. |
unchecked |
Always try to use the original field monitor data. If it is not available anymore, a warning will appear and the copied data will be taken instead. |
OK
Confirms the changes and closes the dialog.
Cancel
Closes this dialog box and cancels all changes you have made in this dialog box.
