The Sweep Domain

The Sweep Domain

For frequency domain analysis, the Sweep domain yields the port-to-port performance for a system containing only electrical or physical components. This domain is applicable to the single tone bandpass frequency domain analysis discussed above, where each tone is characterized by its frequency value and the corresponding power available at the input port. The input frequency and power may be swept to assess the system performance over a specific bandpass range. In addition, this domain allows for sweeping an arbitrary number of user-defined system parameters (e.g., amplifier gain, noise figure (NF), compression point, cutoff frequency).
