Guidelines for Overlapping Layers

Overlapping dielectric layers are not permitted; however, Ansoft Designer does not check for them until you exit the Stackup tab of the Edit Layers window. This allows you to temporarily create overlapping layers when you are moving layers around.

 

Note

A dielectric layer may overlap a signal layer.
