一个关于滤波的问题

最近看一篇论文,上面有这么一段话:
The frequency of maximum emission is 0.8THz which is obvious unsatisfactory for the project application. The frequency range of wanted signal for terahertz receiver is from 25THz to 50THz.
Therefore, the optical filter window of terahertz receiver can be applied to the single light bulb(这个灯泡就是产生大约0.8THz的频率信号的装置) to reject the unwanted signal. Thus, the frequency range of output signal of transmitter is from 25THz to 50THz. Then, the terahertz transmitter is realized.
大意就是说因为太赫兹信号的发射器能够产生的最大辐射频率是0.8THz,但是接收器可以接收的频率范围是25到50THz,所以可以利用一个滤波窗加载在发射器上,这样发射出来的信号频率范围就在25THz到50THz之间了。
我不能理解的是,既然发射频率最大才0.8THz,那么加了滤波窗又有什么用呢?还不是没有25到50THz的信号产生么。
