1 Useability
Primary usage scenarios:
 Unlocking the screen without entering a password or pattern – just swipe a finger over the
sensor.
 Shortcuts – swipe different fingers over the sensor, and automatically launch your favorite
applications. This can be easily integrated with the screen unlock process.
 App protector. Easily secure certain apps with biometric protection, only allowing the phone
owner to get access to certain info (for example mail and messages), while keeping anything
else accessible (e.g. for children or other family members).
 Payments. Securely and conveniently authorize payments though a swipe of a finger.
 Website passwords. Let the biometric system remember all different website passwords,
and have them automatically filled in through a swipe of a finger over the sensor.
Additional sensor functionality:
The fingerprint sensor doubles as a GUI input device, so navigating menu selections, etc, can easily be
done when not actively collecting fingerprint images with the sensor.
Usage requirements:
The only setup process necessary for getting started is to register your finger through a swipe process
in a special biometric settings menu, and connect it to a specific function.
