2. There were someone who won Nobel prizes (maser, tunnel diode), although not many.
3. Mathematicians do not have Nobel prize either.

nobel奖励原创理论的原则是老人家当年的遗嘱，但皇家学院对工程界也不是完全排坼的，真正对技术有巨大推动作用的，比如大规模集成电路，核磁共振成象仪工程实现的伙计都拿到了物理或者生物医学奖。
至于数学，有非而滋，还有新成立的另一个，奖金不输诺贝尔；对数学家也都意思了。当然搞数学足够优秀也可以象纳什一样拿个经济学奖（1994？）
个人认为，微波领域雷达应该是可以拿2，3个奖的，可惜参与有贡献的人太多太牛了，伯克利的JPL实验室，MIT的林肯实验室，电磁实验室（？）似乎个个巨牛，不象理论贡献那样容易分出高低，容易“分账”。
