Opening: Standardization Manager in Philips Shanghai

Organization Description:
IP&S CN Shanghai office deals with all kind of IP matters including Creation, Counselling (Non-Disclosure Agreements, Joint Development, Merger and Acquisition, IP landscaping, Supply and Purchase, etc.), Value Capturing (Licensing, Anti-counterfeiting, etc.). It comprises two main teams, namely IPC team working in close collaboration with internal partners (mainly in Philips China) to generate maximum value with IP for Philips, and Anti-counterfeiting team which fights against counterfeiting (trademark, designs, domain names) mainly on the Chinese market. The IPC team is further divided in 4 teams which correspond to the 4 IP&S BG (Lighting, Consumer Lifestyle, Healthcare and CT).
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Manage Standardization for the standardization activities in Lighting, healthcare and Consumer Lifestyles areas.
• Manage a number of standardization projects of which IP&S is (co-)owner within Philips:
o Internally act as project manager for the standardization activity
o Externally participate( or manager the participation) in the relevant standardization body/working group
• Coordinate within Philips on related standardization activities, which are being led by Sectors or Research, and support these projects as needed.
• Take part in process improvement activities of the BL Standardization department
• Coordinate the contract research projects which support the standardization projects.
• Maintain the associated part of the Philips wide standards database
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Good technical insight/experience in Lighting and Consumer Lifestyle area
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Good spoken and writing in English
• Project leader/management skills
• Fair business sense
• Knowledge of Chinese standardization arena;
• At ease with performing and learning advanced tasks at the PC;
• Master’s degree or above in Physics, EE, IT, and computer sciences, ect.
