课程简介：
Convex Optimization has been recognized as a powerful tool for solving many science and engineering problems, if the problem
of interest can be advisably formulated into a convex optimization problem. Over the last decade, convex optimization has
been employed successfully in solving various problems in signal processing and communications engineering, as we recently
have applied it to blind source separation (BSS) and biomedical and hyperspectral image analysis in signal processing, as
well as multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) coherent/noncoherent detection and channel estimation, space-time coding,
distributed signal processing and beamforming in wireless communications. These successful endeavors further motivate us to
apply convex optimization to some newly emerging applications, such as analytical chemistry for the former, and physical-
layer secrecy and cooperative communications for the latter, and many new cross disciplinary science and engineering
applications. This course is to introduce convex optimization concepts and methods, available software and their
applications.

目前这个方向水灾很严重啊

艾，就是为了灌水

硕大的一个清华，怎么自己开不了这种研究生基本课还需要从台湾调人？还不是什么凸优化的牛人。

清华哪个老师在做通信方面的凸优化呢？偶还没有听说过

这个算是专题讲座
优化课作为研究生基础课是有的

凸优化也有么？
一般的基础课就是线性、非线性，加上integer programming。很多学校虽然开凸优化，但是不作为基础课。

没有专门凸优化的
是优化方法课，比较泛泛的讲几种优化方法

90%的凸优化通信论文，有解的就写个次梯度算法，还号称闭式解，没解的就随笔搞个贪婪
算法。就是最简单的凸优化。

不是问题一旦归结为凸优化之后，
就算可以求解了吗？

所以才说这个方向水得很啊……
不少发在trans上的文章，都是把次梯度算法重新描述一边，算自己的贡献。
我的说法有问题，不是“没解”，应该是“不是凸优化的问题”

这个方向有啥牛人？呵呵

看过一些S.Boyd关于凸优化的东东，感觉还不错，讲义放在网上：

这老哥还把书，源码，以及凸优化工具箱都放在网上让人共享。
估计很遭同行的恨。

这可以算是convex optimization的鼻祖了
