如何用矢网测试信号源呢？

这是那个用矢网测VCO的帖子的衍生体，有朋友提到了用信号源分析仪，但我只有N5230A的矢网，而且：
VCO或者说信号源，很明显，单端口。
矢网测量的单端口器件如负载等无源器件，当把端口接到矢网后，矢网自己就会通过测定来扫频，扫功率，得到频率-功率关系。
但是，VCO是一个单端口有源器件，即使把这个唯一的端口接入矢网，矢网不用也不应该对这个端口进行（频率、功率）扫描，我们需要得到的VCO输出的频率-功率关系中的“频率”不是矢网提供的频率（难道还要vco与矢网进行通信告诉它我提供的频率是多少?但我们需要得到的就是频率啊！因果倒置了！）。So，大神们接着告诉我该怎么办吧。

If you want to use network as a signal source, See below
1. Input frequency form Center Freq
2. SPAN button => zero span
3. Trigger button => continuous and than trigger source ==> external
but source is not nice. Spurious is about 40 ~50dBc.

I referred E5071C that is made by Agilent.
and I has used the tip since 15 years ago.

dear sir, maybe there is misunderstanding. I wanna use the network to TEST a knowned source(in fact, I wanna test a VCO),not use network as a source. VCO have just one port, but I wanna get the voltage-frequency curve. My network is N5230A.
