Placing an N-Port

Placing an N-Port

After using the N-port data dialog to select or create an N-Port component, an icon for the model appears in the Definitions/Models list in the project tree. Right-click on the model icon and select Place New Component from the menu. The Reference Port Option dialog opens:

Select the method for handling reference ports. Click OK. The cursor, now carrying an N-port symbol for placement, moves to the center of the schematic window. To place the N-port, click at the desired location.

Refer to the section “Reference Nodes on S-Parameter Elements” in the S-parameter Technical Notes topic for details on how Nexxim handles reference node configurations.

Hint

You can rotate an N-port before placing it by repeatedly pressing R on your keyboard. Each press rotates the N-port 90º counterclockwise.
