Running the Filter Design Tool

To start a Filter Design Tool session, click Insert Filter Design on the Project menu at the top of the Designer desktop.

Filter Design Wizard

The Filter Design Tool starts with a design wizard which guides you through several stages of a filter design process. In each page of the design wizard, a different part of the design criteria is specified. Canceling the design wizard will also cancel inserting a filter component to the Designer project tree. When the design wizard is completed, a Filter Design Window will be opened and displayed. By clicking Design Wizard on the Filter menu at the top of the Designer desktop, you may return to the design wizard at any time in order to change the specifications and redesign the filter circuit. Filter Design Window

The design window is divided into two sections for easy manipulation of circuit elements and observation of the response. Having two windows in one also prevents cluttering the Designer environment, which contains numerous product, message and property windows. With this window active, you can change the individual elements or the whole circuit through a variety of simple or complex circuit transformations. See Filter Design Window.
