Thermal Loss Distribution SpecialsSimulation: Sources and LoadsThermal LossesSpecialsConsider Surface losses on boundaries Select the boundaries, where surface losses should be taken into account. Default conductivity for PEC Define the default surface conductivity for the surface loss calculation on PEC surfaces. This setting has a great influence on the calculated loss power. Minimum relative conductance for loss mapping This settings defines the relative minimum conductance of a region where loss distributions are taken into account. Especially for surface losses this setting is important, to prevent artificial heating on curved surfaces. The minimum conductance value is calculated by multiplying the entered relative value (between 0 and 1) with the maximum conductance value used for a certiain example:
Example: Three thermal conductance values have been used:
If a relative value of 0.01 is specified, losses are only taken into account within regions with a thermal conductance of more than 401 * 0.01 = 4.01 W / K / m. In this case this means that losses which have been mapped to air or rubber regions are not used for the thermal simulation. OK Accepts the changes and closes the dialog.
