First Example from the Workflow and Solver Overview

CST EMS Examples

Tetrahedral adaptive simulation

Hexahedral simulation with Optimizer

General Description

This example shows the typical workflow of a magnetostatic simulation. A simple sealed transformer is modeled consisting of two coils and an iron core in a cylindrical box. The complete description (step by step) of the example, from the preparation of the model geometry to the simulation phase can be found in the printed manual  "CST EM STUDIO Workflow & Solver Overview".

The example is particularly simple but it already offers the chance to show some of the outstanding features of CST EM STUDIO, such as the parametric model representation and simulation, the parameter sweep analysis and the optimizer to reach specific goal. The example is mainly focused on the computation of the magnetic field distribution and inductances.
