S-parameters are calculated and optimized for a bandpass filter in microstrip. You will find two projects: an initial design and an optimized one.
The microstrip coupled lines two-port blocks realize the coupling of four resonators each producing one pole that cause the filter characteristic of the system. Note that substrate properties are defined by using a reference block (marked by a black arrow).
To optimize the initial design five parameters are included into the optimization process that uses the genetic algorithm.
