Slot

Modeling: ShapesFaces and AperturesSlot

In this dialog box you may specify the properties of a slot. Slots are used to represent a narrow aperture in a thin metal face.
It is intended for apertures that are too narrow to be effectively modeled as features in the geometric model.

Name

Specify a unique name for the slot.

Type

Here you select the type of the Slot. Slot can be modeled as slot, seam or transfer impedance.

Dimensions frame

Depth / Overlap / Frequency: Depending on type selected, specify here the width or overlap or frequency of the slot.

Gap / Transfer impedance: Depending on type selected, specify here the gap or transfer impedance of the slot.

Number of segments: Specify here the number of segments of the slot.

Permittivity: Specify here the permittivity of the slot.

Conductivity: Specify here the conductivity of the slot.

Points frame

In this frame you can define list of points describing the location (path) of the slot. The point list must form a path on the surface of the metal face.

Picked edge: This option is activated if edge is selected before opening the slot dialog. The selected edge(s) coordinates will be listed in the list box.

Picked point: This option is activated if points are selected before opening the slot dialog. The selected points will be listed in the list box.

Arbitrary point: When this option is activated you can specify the arbitrary points in the list box.

Insert: Inserts a new point into the list above the currently selected point.

Delete: Deletes the currently selected point from the list.

Clear: Deletes all points from the list.
