Estimation of highest eigenfrequency frame
In this dialog group one can choose between
an automatic estimation of the highest eigenfrequency or enter a user
defined value if this frequency is already known (e.g. from a previous
calculation).
In addition, you can chose an automatic estimation
refinement. Thus, the maximum number of estimation cycles can be set.
Many estimation cycles might lead to a very long simulation time, because
for each cycle, the complete eigenvalue problem has to be solved with
minor accuracy.
Guess (0 if
unknown): Enter a user defined value for the highest eigenfrequency.
If the highest eigenfrequency is unknown set the value to 0. In this case
the highest eigenfrequency is estimated automatically.
Automatic estimation
refinement: Check if you want to refine the estimation of the highest
eigenfrequency.
Max. number
of cycles: Enter the maximum number of cycles for an automatic
estimation refinement.
Iterations:
Specify the maximum number of iterations to be performed. The calculation
will stop after this number of iterations even when the desired accuracy
has not been reached so far. This option only applies to the AKS eigenmode
solver method.
For further information on how to choose the
highest eigenfrequency see the Eigenmode
Solver Overview.

Penalty factor:
This factor can be used to eliminate unwanted static solutions by entering
a value between 1 and 100. In most cases it is not necessary to change
this parameter, if a good estimation of the highest eigenfrequency was
applied.
Accuracy:
This setting determines the relative difference between two solutions
during the iterative computation of eigenvectors. A small number (<1e-6)
generally reduces the solver error while the simulation time increases
(keep in mind that there are also other error types which might be significantly
larger than the solver error).
Consider static
modes: If the box is checked then the static modes are saved and
can be accessed via the result tree. Otherwise the static modes are not
saved.
OK
Accepts the changes and closes the dialog.
Cancel
Closes this dialog box without performing any
further action.
