Combine Calculation Results
Combine Results
If you have made a calculation with two or more excitations (Waveguide Ports,
Discrete
Ports or Farfield
Sources), you may combine the results using separate stimulation properties
for each port. The new combined results will be shown in the
with a label in square brackets behind the monitor name.
The combine operation can be executed either for all frequency
monitors or for all time monitors
(see also: Reference
Value and Normalizing).
Monitor settings frame
Type:
Choose here between a Frequency
domain monitor or a Time domain
monitor.
Offset:
The temporal delay between the stimulating time signals of the excitations
may be specified by using either a time or phase shift. The phase shift
offset requires a phase reference frequency: The phase values defined
in the excitation list below are converted into corresponding time shifts
for the time signals by use of this reference frequency. The offset setting
applies only to time domain monitors.
Monitor selection frame
Selection...:
Opens the monitor selection
dialog.
Frequency:
If a frequency is selected, only the results available at this frequency
will be combined.
Monitor combination frame
Label:
Displays the label for the combined calculation results either as a user
input or generated automatically.
Automatic labeling:
This check button enables or disables the automatic labeling for the combined
result. The automatically generated label consists of the
selected excitation combination including the specific amplitude and phase
values. In addition, if time domain monitor is selected, the automatically
generated label contains the reference frequency as well. You may define
your own label name if you switch automatic labeling off.
List:
This list shows all previously defined labels belonging to combined calculation
results, also including the labels created by a transient solver run with
simultaneous
port excitation activated.
Excitation list
Lists all excitations followed by the stimulation
properties (amplitude and phase shift in degree resp. time delay) you
have set. You can edit the amplitude and phase for each excitation here.
Combine
Performs your settings and creates a new result
for each monitor. Leaves this dialog box.
Close
Closes this dialog box without performing any further
action.
Help
Shows this help text.
Set all...
Opens the Excitation Properties dialog box where
you can set the stimulation properties for all excitations.
Clear
Sets the stimulation properties for all ports to
zero.
