CST DESIGN STUDIO™ represents a universal platform to manage the entire design process of a complex system, beginning with a first layout and closing with the final solution. By the synthesis of elementary sub-systems, the behavior of the complete system can be analyzed in small segments. Because the most recent results are stored separately for the blocks and modifications generally concern not all of them, the optimization process is very much accelerated.

The use of global parameters in CST DESIGN STUDIO™ makes the calculation of arbitrary variation results possible, e.g., by performing a parameter sweep. Global optimization, using the powerful built-in optimizer tool, can consider an arbitrary number of weighted goal functions and an arbitrary number of parameters.

CST DESIGN STUDIO is best suited for automation tasks, as it supports the VBA macro language and is implemented as an OLE automation server.
