Except for measured and simulated blocks, whose data is only based on a file's contents, a block is associated with parameters describing spatial dimensions and material properties. Within this dialog box, you can modify such a property by assigning either a different double value or a numerical expression to it, unless it refers to a property of a reference block.
Furthermore, from here, you can switch the display of the parameter table on or off inside the schematic view.
Depending on the type of block, some further controls may appear that allow you to modify additional settings.
Property list
Lists all properties associated with the selected block. You may change the values and the associated units here. The units are fixed for some types of blocks. In this case, they are automatically synchronized with the project the block refers to, and can only be changed inside that project.
Show parameter table inside drawing
Use this control to switch the display of the parameter table on or off inside the schematic view.
Use as default reference
This control only appears for reference blocks. Use this control to make the selected block the default reference. All blocks that are afterwards added to your design will refer to that block.
Use reference block
If your design contains at least one reference block, this control appears, but only for the non-reference blocks. You may check the box and select a reference block in the associated combo box to its right to establish a reference.
Units
If the parameters refer to different units than the global units set in the Units dialog box, these local units are displayed here. The following types of units are considered: Dimensions, Frequency, Temperature and Time.
OK
Accepts your settings and leaves the dialog box.
Cancel
Closes this dialog box without performing any further action.
Apply
Performs your settings without leaving the dialog box.
