Display 3D Fields on 2D Plane

2D/3D Plot: 3D Fields on 2D Plane

This setting activates the generation of arbitrary planar cuts through 3D field results to ease the data analysis. Once activated all common 2D plot options are available to customize the visualization. This option is available for all 3D field result types.

The normal direction and the location of the visualization plane can be specified in the corresponding Plot properties dialog boxes.
