Operator Precedence

Operator Precedence

Operators that can be used to define an expression or function have a pre-defined sequence in which they are performed. The following list shows both the valid operators and the sequence in which they are accepted (listed in decreasing precedence). Operators of equal precedence are evaluated left-to-right — except for exponentiation, which is evaluated right-to-left.

+	addition	6
-	subtraction	6
==	equals	8
!=	not equals	8
>	greater than	9
<	less than	9
>=	greater than equals	9
