Inserting a System Design into a Project

To insert a System design into a project:

1. Do one of the following:

• Select a project in the project tree.

• Select Project > Insert System Design.

• In the project tree, right-click the project icon and select Insert > Insert System Design.

The Choose Technology File dialog box opens.

2. In the Choose Layout Technology dialog box, do one of the following:

• Select a technology and then click Open.

• Click Browse to manually enter the name of a layout technology file or browse to find the a file, and click OK.

• Click None.

A blank System schematic opens in the schematic editor.

Warning Pathnames to technology files must be less than 128 characters in length. Pathnames longer than 128 characters may render technology files inaccessible and require Designer to be restarted.
