Discrete Time Simulation of Phase Noise

Assume the output waveform type is sinusoid. Let the signal from the first input be Vin(t), and the signal from the second input be dN(t). The relationship between the inputs and the outputs is given by:

In general, the random phase noise process is a slowly time-varying process.

 

An example of phase noise simulation in a fractional-N synthesizer design is provided with Designer. Use the File menu to open the project:
