Validating Connectivity and Return Paths

To validate connectivity and return paths:

1. Select any geometry of interest on the net.

2. Click Layout > Nets > Select Physically Connected

Selection, net highlighting, transparency, Z-scaling, and cross-sectioning in the 3D view are also very useful for examining complex geometry.

 

Note

Not all geometry types work with the Select Physically Connected command. Connections through bondwires, solderballs, and 3D-extrusions cannot be tracked.
