Magnetic Loss Tangent

Magnetic Loss Tangent

To represent a dielectric that dissipates the power of a high-frequency magnetic field, enter the magnetic loss tangent, m¢¢/m¢, for the material in the Magnetic Loss Tangent Value text box. The smaller the loss tangent, the less lossy the material.

Note

Designer software assumes that the permeability is homogeneous within the layer and is not uniaxial. The software can model magnetic materials with a relative permeability of up to 50.
