Maximum Continuation Iterations

The option max_continuation_iterations determines the maximum number of incremental steps to be used for Gmin, Gshunt, and source stepping. This option thus takes effect only when the circuit has failed to converge normally. Increasing the maximum number of continuation iterations might improve the chance that the circuit will eventually converge. However, the default number, 500, should be large enough for all cases. If the circuit does not converge with the default continuation parameters, increasing max_continuation_iterations is unlikely to succeed.
